Itinerary Summary

  • Day 1:

    Upon arrival at  Leh airport, transfer to the hotel.

    Check in to the hotel. 

    Rest for the day.

    Overnight at Leh.

  • Day 2:

    Full day Leh Excursion (monastery & Palace around Leh)

    Post breakfast, visit Hemis, Thiksay, Shey, Sindu Ghat, & back to Leh for lunch.  Post lunch, visit  Hall of Fame, Leh palace, Shanti Stupa

    Overnight at Leh.   

  • Day 3:

    Leh- Khardungla - Nubra Valley

    Distance: 160 km | Travel Time: 5 to 6 hrs. 

    Post breakfast leave for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardong-la (alt: 18,380 ft.), highest motor able pass in the world. The pass offers spectacular views of the Zanskar range across the Indus Valley in the south, and the Saser massif in the north. Reach Deskit/ Hunder in the afternoon and check-in at your camp / hotel. Rest of the at leisure to explore Hundar and the white Sand Dunes where you can enjoy a short camel Safari on the double-humped Bactrian camel found here (optional, on direct payment).

  • Day 4:

    Diskit/Hunder - Turtuk village - Diskit/Hunder

    Distance: 160 km | Travel Time: 5 hrs

    Post breakfast drive to Turtuk Village, Turtuk is the last Indian outpost before Pakistan in Ladakh.Lying on the banks of Shyok River, it is military-dominated, and sensitive area, as merely ten kilometers ahead is the border or line of control between India and Pakistan. Known as erstwhile Baltistan, the people here speak Urdu, Ladakhi, Balti, and Hindi. It is the gateway to the Siachen Glacier, with the snow-clad peaks of Mt. K2, visible in the horizon from the top of the village, after visiting Turtuk village drive back to Hunder/Diskit.

    Overnight in camp/hotel at Hunder / Deskit.

  • Day 5:

    Nubra to Leh 

    Distance: 160 km | Travel Time: 5 to 6 hrs. 

    Post breakfast proceed to Leh by same route. Enroute visit Diskit Monastery. Have lunch at Leh hotel after lunch relax  or go for shopping in Leh market.

    Overnight at Leh.

  • Day 6:

    Leh to Pangong Lake via Chang La Pass

    Distance: 225 km  | Travel Time: 6 hrs.

    Post early breakfast leave for Pangong Lake via Chang-la pass (alt: 17370 ft./ 5486 meters), 3rd highest motorable pass in the world. Pangong Lake (alt: 14,500 ft.), largest brackish water lake of Asia, is 4-5 kms wide and about 135 kms long of which two-third portion lies on the other side of the Indo-China border.

  • Day 7:

    Pangong lake  to Leh 

    Distance: 225 km  | Travel Time: 6 hrs.

    Post breakfast drive back to Leh by same route.

    Overnight at Leh.

  • Day 8:

    Leh - Lamayuru - Leh

    Post breakfast, head out to visit the Pathar sahib Gurudwara, Lamayuru,  Magnetic Hill: A hill alleged to have magnetic properties strong enough to pull car uphill. Visitors and residents alike claim the legend to be true. Confluence of Sindhu and Zanskar rivers is a magical sight apart from the obvious geographical significance. Lamayuru Monastery: The Monastery is made up of number of shrines and is well known for its magnificent wall paintings.

    Overnight at Leh.

  • Day 9:

    Departure from Leh Airport 

    Check out from the hotel in time to catch your flight for onward destination with wonderful memories of Ladakh.
